Hi folks! Got a busted tail lamp on my C205 (2016).
So, I got a new LED off Ebay and hooked it up the the left side cable assembly (one that previously didn't work) and it didn't work.
I then removed the new LED and plugged it into the right side (working tail lamp) cable assembly. And it worked as expected.
Had a closer look at the cable assembly and noticed a wire missing from the left side cable assembly (The side that used to work but doesn't work anymore).
Cable assemble on the left tail lamp (which currently doesnt work). Notice absence of the green wire from the cable assembly.
Notice 4 wires on the cable assembly of the right side tail lamp. This tail lamp works fine. I tested the new tail lamp ordered from ebay with this cable assembly and it works fine.
Has anyone come across something similar? I'm quite baffled it used to work without the 4th wire.
Appreciate any advice I can get. No idea what I can do here.
