Need help please! Rough Idle, not MAS..

Hey guys, my 00 W202 C230K recently hit 83K miles and its starting to act up. When I am in Drive and at idle, my car will jolt, shake and sputter, its kind surges of makes the rpm dance, jumping up and down. My rpm at idle is at 600 rpm, is this correct? Prior, I searched and others told me the problem is the Mass air flow sensor. I changed the MAS, air filter and I have a new fuel filter that I have to put in. I also flushed/cleaned in the gasoline/fuel injectors. My friend's BMW had a similar problem but his car wouldnt idle at all. If his car wasnt moving, the car would just die. He had to replace his actuator, which im hoping its not that because that is quite costly from what I understand? Also, does anyone know how long the spark plug intervals are? I think I am in need of changing those as well. Which ones are a better upgrade from stock? Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance, Any help will be greatly appreciated

I had the same exact problem for the last month and just fixed it yesterday. I'm not sure what the actual solution was but here's what I did.

1. New spark plugs set to .032 gap.
2. New spark plug wires and connectors.
3. New valve cover gasket.
Note: the inner rings of the valve cover gasket were leaking and oil was dripping on top of the wires. I think this was the actual problem.
4. Cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner and a toothbrush.

My car now runs smooth as new and is actually a lot quieter. I also feel like a gained some lost power back as well. Doing it myself the whole thing cost about $150.

Got all the parts at www.bimmerzone.com

Can't set the plug gap on his car.
C 230 K has Bosch F7 KTCR triple electrode plugs, with non-adjustable gap!

Thanks guys for the input, I really appreciate it. Now im pretty sure changing the wires, connectors and plugs will solve this problem as well. Now I need to know which ones are correct? Can you guys that know help me out? This is also a great source for OEM parts, cheapest and best place I have found.

https://www.autohausaz.com/memberson...TOKEN=57175705

Is that correct for a set of complete new wires?

Which connector is the correct ones? And how many do I need?

Are new ignition coils required?

Cheaper than $120? Make sure they are OEM. Get the connectors, too. New plugs and wires is one of those things that actually makes an instantly noticeable difference.

I buy from Autohaus AZ often. Good place to deal with. But to make sure I get the right plugs... I usually buy them from the dealer. Too many times do a lot of places give you substitutes or "equivalents".

These are the ONLY ones to get.
DO NOT accept substitutes!

Just noticed, Autohaus IS listing the correct plugs.

You will need 1 - wire set ( 2 wires ) & 2 connectors.
That will do the whole engine, as 2 of the coils are direct plug-ins ( for the connectors ).
I wouldn't waste any money on new coils at this time.

Thank you guys, everyone has been really helpful. I talked to my SA and he already knew what the problem was. I have a good relationship with him and he knows I will be doing everything DYI. He told me it's one of two things thats causing the rough idle/mis-fire. He said to first replace all plugs, wires, coil pack, and connectors. He said if that doesnt work, worst case scenario is that my head is filled/clogged with carbon monoxide and it has to be disassembled and sent in for repairs/cleaning. When I went to the dealer to talk to my SA, he had a S500 in for the same exact problem as my car. He said this is a very common thing and it happens all the time on MB's after you rack up some miles on them. I'll be ordering all the parts and replacing everything, ill report what happens. Thanks once again guys for taking your time to help me, I really appreciate everyones feedback and advice/concerns.
