Seat Height
I'm not very short (5'10) but it seems like my seat is a little low. (just purchased a 98 c230)...I've put it all the way up and I still have about 4 inches to the roof of the car.
Any way to adjust the seat higher? I'm willing to try anything...
Thanks in advance

If possible, it's just too low where it is now. The previous owner was quite large (350 pounds) Wondering if there is a electronic motor stop or does it stop mechanically when it reaches end of spindle?

Didn't mean to step over the line, sorry. I just don't think there is a real solution to what you are asking to be done except to sit on something. (I'm your same height so don't think I'm poking fun at you). The only thing I can think of is to custom fabricate pieces for your seat, which might be $$$$. And you're right, I am an A$$hole.

I am 5'9 and have the seat adjusted what seems to me as just fine. I am curious if you have owned other mercedes before this one as at least from my experience, mercedes tend to have the drive sit a bit lower than other cars. The best example that comes to mind is the Ford Explorer (the 1999 versions or whatever before the redo). I feel like I can hit my head on those.
I would have to agree with 040Mercedes when he states that custom fab may be the only way around it. From what I understand, the seat sets on tracks and the motors can then travel on the tracks within their preset allowable movements. I am unsure if it is physically possible to alter the seat movement yourself.
You may want to look over at club202.com. Someone may have experienced the same issue. They know a whole lot about their cars and love to help people out.
Hope that helps.

oh, in that case you should try finding a used one. silverstarrecycling.com should have what you're looking for, though they're a bit pricy, so something along the lines of that. the passenger seat feels firmer and more comfortable right? that's the way the driver seat should feel. Mine is broken down too.
