rear seat insulating pads

Can another '96 C220 owner confirm for me that the rear seat does include an insulating pad? I just got my car back after having the emergency brake worked on and noticed a bit more noise coming from the back of the car, removing the rear seat cushion revealed to me that there was no insulting pad just the under body of the car with a few tar sheets. I believe there should be a complete insulating pad there.

I want to confirm this before calling the dealer and making a stink.

Actually, I need to pull my back seat to look at something (headrest release control) underneath it, so I'll look at my padding while I'm there. Question: how do you remove the rear seat on a '95 W202?

If, like me, you have the non-split folding rear seat, then you must remove the back seat in atwo easy steps.

1) There are two clips (grey i believe) on the bottom of the bench seat on the right and left side. Press these in and pull the bench cushion out.

2) You'll notice that there are three brass colored brackets held in place by three bolts. Fully loosen (until you can remove them) these bolts and pull up on the seat back to remove it.
