cruise control
My cruise control sometimes doens't work. Is this a common problem? If I pull over and restart the car it will usually work fine.

Did you install some custom rims on the car, perhaps a non-AMG type with custom sizes and custom profiles ?

It may be that the ESP is really annoyed at the wheel settings that dont match what it expects. Could be something you could fix with tyre profiles if that is what the cause is.

I had this problem with my 95 before, it only happened a coulple of times so I never bothered geting it diagnosed. It could just be a fuse or relay or something simple.

I have the same problem, except my cruise control does
NOT work at all, as of two weeks.

Any advice appreciated on how to fix it myself.

No one has any input on the vacuum noise or cruise control problem. Does anyone know a different forum to try?

Question '90 420 SEL Cruise Control Prob
I bought my '90 420 SEL about 2 - 3 months ago. I took it out on about 6 hr trip, but found out the cc doesn't work. Any ideas on what to check?
