cable for opening bonnet

Hello,
The cable for opening the bonnet of my 1996 C36 AMG(W202) has snapped.
How can I open the bonnet without this?

I am not sure what part to attach the coat hanger to?

the cable pulls a latch, bend a coat hanger, slide it under the bonnet, and use it to pull the latch.
