A/C doesn't blow as hard as it used to

When I push the fan (>) speed botton it won't blow any harder than 3/4 even if I set it to max fan speed.

Anyone have an idea what it could be? It used to blow on max but now it won't.

Thanks

Gary

Do you mean that the fan speed doesn't come up, or it does come up to the indicated max but there just doesn't seem to be the proper amout of air movement from the vents?

Krusty:

On the LCD display it shows the full (>>>>>>>>) max speed but it only blows at like 3/4 The last three arrows above don't increase the output.

Ah, so it probably isn't electrical (maybe, but more on that in a sec.). Try changing your cabin filter under the passenger side dash. It's in a rectangular compartment that opens simply with the sliding of the tabs on the side. This should make a big difference to the air flow. This is assuming that there is an audible difference in fan speed as it reaches the top setting (i.e. you can hear that the fan is spinning fast). If this filter change makes no difference, you will have to look at the blower regulator, which is bolted to the fan motor. It could be bad, but cheap solutions first, especially if you have never changed that filter. Put some newspaper down on your carpet first if you have never changed it. You'll see why...
