two din sized units on the dash
hi,
i'm new so please bear with me... i've got a 1998 c180 and want to fit a motorised screen and a stero in the dash. i haven't got air con, so underneath the stero location is a small recess. i've noticed to star shape screws at the top of this rub bit. if i was to remove this rubber it, would it enable me to fit a din sized head unit in there?

why not just get a motorized screen w/cd/dvd built in so you only use 1 din... thats what i have, works well althought getting to HVAC is tricky as you have to lower screen to change settings.

[QUOTE=davis449]the monitor sticks out from the dash a lot. It kinda makes it look funny when it's closed, but if I leave it open it looks alright [QUOTE]
mine is the exact same, it sticks out about a 1/2 inch, i just leave it open all the timeunless i park the car outside of home and work...
