'95 C280 - hazard switch replacement
Hello,
I need to replace the hazard light switch on my c280. Does anyone know how to remove the wood grain panel? It's the one that surrounds the heat and a/c switches. Does it just snap off? Do I need special tools? Thank you!

'95 S500C, '96 C36, '86 190E, '72 280SEL
Well, I am not sure if it is the same as a '96. If it is, there are two screws at the bottom of the wood panel. Remove them, and the panel will tilt out from the bottom. Once you have tilted it out enough, you can then slide the panel down and out. You should then be able to pop the hazard switch. Pop in the new one, and reverse the process, and you should be done. Take your time, and don't force anything, it is real easy to crack the veneer on the wood panels.
