Upsolute Chip Groupbuy?
I'm making a move on this chip. Any of you guys want to form a groupbuy? I'm getting quoted 500 bucks installed, which is more than what their website claims. Furthermore, I did some searches and saw a previous groupbuy for around 275 bucks. 350-400 sounds about right to me. Anybody?

Hey I was thinking of getting one for my C280 benz, but thy're asking too much for it. I beleive it was almost $800 and i don't have that much money to go for 12 HP increase. Yep it was going to boost it from 204 HP to 216 HP.
Where are you getting it from? How much will it cost? How much will it tune the power to?
I am interested in getting one chip for my car.

You don't have to send it in if you can get to their install shop. What they do is first read your ECU (if they don't have it on file yet). Then they reprogram the file, then you go back and they upload it.
I'm not selling a lorinser exhaust..
I'm selling a brabus exhaust for a SLK.
Oh, and $275 is definitely too low for Upsolute (for MB's it definitely costs more).

SLK Boy, you're right. I talked to Rene and if you register at Benzsport.com we can get it at 400 bucks installed. My only major concern is that I asked for some empirical data for the C230K, 2000 four door and he sends me a dyno that gave me hp only. So I ask for a torque curve and he forwards a torque curve "dyno" that reads more than 500 pounds. C'mon. I wrote no I'm not looking for the torque curve on the E50 or Maybach, I'm looking for the torque curve after chipping the C230K. His response? Oh, this was a customer who dynoed his car and sent it to me. WTF? This guy reps the chip and he can't send me good data? The chip seems good but this exchange doesn't exactly give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
Does anybody have any REAL dynos on this chip for the C230K and C280 so we can go in with facts and do this deal?

As far as I know, no one has been Upsoluted with a C280...i guess i can be the first..hehe..dang it...this modding thing is costing me way too much...
as for C230K's, i know people have had it done, and the results have definitely been good...but i don't think anyone dynoed their car (one guy with a C230 coupe did, but that was a huge long thread at benzsport)...
still, $400 for 15 hp isn't bad...there's only so much that you can do with a n/a motor just by chipping..
