Hi everyone,
I'm needing some help with my c220. It recently developed a problem with the air conditioning system. I took it down to my local mercedes dealers and i was told it would cost £1000 to fix.
They have advised me i need to replace the charcoal flap adjustment motor. I want to replace it myself as i don't want to have to spend a grand on the ac. But i can't seem to get the parts. Can anyone give me some advice

How mechanical are you? You will more than likely need to remove the entire dash. It's amazing how many motors are used by MB in their HVAC system. Never, ever, ever, own an MB past it's expiration date (the day the warranty expires). Here's some help, best of luck to you - http://www.buellwinkle.com/HVAC-W203.pdf
BTW, In the US. only the C320/C350 has the activated charcoal filter, so it would be odd if the C220 has it but you never know. Does it have the digital hvac controls or the knobs? The digital one allows you to active the charcoal filter, the one with knobs does not have that feature.

Sorry, didn't realize you have a W202 since you posted in the W203 forum and I don't know all the models MB has in the UK. Never mind then, the parts and diagrams have nothing to do with your car, those are for the 2001+ C-Class. There's another forum for classic MB's that maybe better suited to fixing your problem, don't remember the name but it's something like mbshopforum or something like that.
