Got new tint today; now stereo doesn't work?

Got new tint today; now stereo doesn't work?
Had new tint put on my 1998 C280 Sport today. My stereo was working fine as of this morning when I went to get coffee.
The tint guys came at 2 p.m. and worked until 5 p.m. When I went back out to pay them, the installer had me see how my a.m. radio reception would be. I turned on my stereo (and it powered up) but no sound came out. The CD changer changes CD's (I can hear them shuffling) -- so it has power. But no sound.
Could this be related to something the tint guys did? Any suggestions on what to check / how to fix?

The same thing happened to my 95 when I got the windows tinted on it, they got water in my speaker on my driver's side door. I left the stereo off for the remainder of that day and all night and it worked fine after that.

Thank you very much for your reply!!! Sure enough, this morning I got some sound out of my speakers, albeit extremely loud, unbearable shrieking. By tonight my stereo was back to normal -- you saved me a trip to the audio place. Thanks again.

You are most very welcome. You should've seen the installer when I went in there immediately after he tinted my windows and accused him of ****ing up my stereo. He was absolutely CLUELESS as to what the cause could've been. I went online and did some research as soon as I got home and found out what the cause was and went back there and told him so he would know. Funny thing was that I didn't have the same problem with the 99 when guy the dealer in Boerne contracts with did them. Came back from the dealer that same day and everything worked fine.
