Fair price for this 2000 C280 Sport?

2000 C280 Sport

I found this C280 Sport for sale by a dealer for about $16K with 68K on the odometer...if I understand correctly its a Special Edition judging by the two-toned steering wheel and seats. However, the CarFax report provided by the dealer states that the car has been in 3 front end accidents. Should I continue my search or consider this one? I like the two-toned leather.

Where should I be looking to be price-wise on a 2000 C280 Sport with around 60K and no accidents?

About 13.5-14k. I wouldnt pay him more than 14k for a 2000 c280 with bout 60k miles. Mine is a 99 with 60k miles and is probably worth round 11.5k. Check the dealer prices on KBB and edmunds and then try to bargain him down anywhere from about 650 to 1k $. Def look throughouly at the car and see if it has any cosmetic damages and see whats been replaced and ask for a service record of it also if its available. Also if i were you i would look for mb's that were leased and now are being sold because those cars are the ones that had low miles.

Sean's Sister--
you guys think thats bad.....i've been looking for a c280, 94-96 or even a 220/230 and some people are insane with the pricing......first off they ask for suggested price which no one goes by and some are salvaged and don;t say unless you ask them.....

i usally look at the price between trade in valve and private party but it also depends on the car and in what shape it is in...

how much would you guys pay for a 95 c280?

Yeah I'm definately going to pass on this one and keep looking, hopefully I can find one that's certified pre-owned (warranty is a must).

I'm 90% sure that's illegal. I wouldn't pay more than 12 for a 95 280, depending on the miles, of course.

yea i know, thats what makes me mad.. but 12,000 is way too much for 95 c280........on average i see them online go for 7-8 but blue book shows it at around 5-6......
