Wheel spacers, good or bad?
i have posted this topic before, not too many reply.
i would like to re-post it again, and hope i will get some advice/feedback.
my 97 c230 has 4 17"x7.5 AMG Monoblock with 225/45ZR17.
the rear wheels do not fill up the fender wells completely and leaving a gap between wheel and fender (horizontal).
I needs 15mm wheel spacers for each rear wheel to push the wheel outward to line up with fender (vertically).
I don't want to replace my rear wheel with 17"x8.5 and 245/40ZR17 (OEM setup for C36). By doing so, the front wheels and rear wheels can't be swapped for tire rotation.
your suggestions are welcome!

I don't really know the answer to this Q's but the only bad thing that i heard that, it might hurt the wheel bearing. I been using them for years on both of my cars and no problem yet. I know that Porches owners used them alot. Some are as wide as 2" to update their for street and track use.

if i use 15mm spacers, it shouldn't have big impact to the bearing, it is less than 1", actually is approx of 2/3" spacers.
how about the handling issue? better or worse? i have a friend who has a 02 Bimmer 330ci with 18" n he installed 15mm spacers at the rear wheels, he experienced softer suspension, and car was lowered about 1/4"-1/2" due to rear wheel slightly tilted inward to the body.
will this happened to w202 when spacers are added?

MB used spacers on one of their show cars. It's should be rather safe IF you use longer bolts that are designed for the spacers. Some people fail to realize that they need new bolts when they add spacers. H&R sells kits that include both.
