Does anybody know why my antenna just goes down from time to time? And when that happens the radio or cd playes does not function. This is on a 1994 C280

 

nobody else has had this problem before?

 

Well that has never happent to me and since I am doing a radio installation I have looked into things.

In your case it seems like something is up with the power. If your ant. and radio shut off for a bit, there is some loss of power in that time. Your best bet would be to pull the radio out and check it with a volt meter. Either the connection is loose, or you have some electrical problem going on.

I'm installing some subwoofers and mabye even a new deck, so I have looked at the wiring of the cd player. All I can say is it's quite complicated, unlike most cars.
