I need opinions on this...
I don't know a whole hell of a lot about cars but here's the deal.
First of all what's the difference between the C230 and the C280.
There is a 2000 C280 at a local dealership and here it is:
http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/dd...t=25&cardist=0
I have seen others go for around 13,000 so I was wondering if I could get the dealer down to around there?
I was driving a 92 Accord Coupe last week that my parents got me 3 years ago when I got my license, but this lady ran into the side of me so I should get a small amount of insurance money and I saw this car and I love it and it is pushing it but I can afford it.
They even give the full Carfax report and it all looks good.
I was searching around and was wondering if I can somehow get them down to like 13,500 or so should I go for it?

from the dealer:
just a quick note about other cars priced lower? This one has the SPORT package which is a big add in the book, plus this car has been serviced through our shop and certified, has warranty from us as a dealer, four brand new tires just installed, etc.....so sometimes what looks better may be mis leading on places like Ebay! Go to NADA.com to loo kat the reatil value with all the adds.........thanx.....phil

ok these cars are sick i'm starting to get obsessed haha.
but i was reading on auto.consumerreview.com or something like that and they rated it around a 3 overall in it's class. What's up with that? the review really had nothing horrible to say about the car, and said it was very reliable and all.
why does it score so low?
and also before i go to bed HOLY ****!:

that seems like a great deal? i don't see where it says it's the sport package in the description but it looks like it says it on the side of the car in the pics... that's a great deal, no?

Wow...still no reply?? From what I heard, packages don't worth a dime when you are reselling it to the dealer, however the dealer will BS and raise the price. Best way is to tell dealer, "I don't want the Sports Package anyways" and see if they can lower the price.

sport package really isnt worth much...dont let the dealer bs you, find & print a bunch of ads for w202's around the same year & mileage to show him the going rate...also with the w204 about to be released the value of w202 will drop even more

Jt-
I posted recently too, I bought a 2000 c230 kompressor sport this week. Silver with the two tone leather. Only 45,000 miles and I got the car for $13,000. I bought the extended warranty for $3,000, so I am covered to 100,000 miles. The car is beautiful, look at c230k for lower price, the miles seem high on that c280 sport for the money. Good luck

yup, i checked out ya post.
anyway, what's the difference between the two actually? c280 and c230? i don't really know...
also there's three in the area. silver with 68K miles , 14,899 dollars.
black with 76K miles for $13,000.
and an incredible value for a silver one with 70K miles for $12,000.
