dear god, why? I have a 230k sport, and I LOVE that it doesn't have that hideous grey strip on the side. That sets the sport models apart from the crappy looking 202's. go and register on www.club202.com. you'll be more likely to get responses there.
I HATED that on my 95 Benz. But yeah I'm sure it cold be done if you wanted it to.
