The first one is the lower control arm bushing kit and the 2nd one is the tie rod assembly. I went to the dealership to get my car aligned and they said i need to get these replaced before they can align it properly. I believe I can change it on my own...what you think and is it common parts that need to be changed? My 98 c230 had 70k when I took it in.

none
Control arm bushing go as well as the tierod assembly. I think thats normal for 202's. I had to replace mine. I believe you have to purchase the whole assembly(tie rods/center link). I tried to find just the tie rod ends but couldn't.

The CA bushing require a press to get them in I think also. You'll have to disassemble the front suspsension to do all this work.

i had this replaced on my c280 too. they wear out and my shop won't allign my wheels before i got it done. the parts don't cost a whole lot, but it's the labor. I took it to the dealer to replace it. Only the left bushing was worn out but they replaced both sides. You're correct, you need a compressor. It's not as easy as it seems to get that thing in there, so you don't want just any inexperienced shop to try to cram it in. That's why i took it to the dealer. Hope this information helps. After it's done you should feel a big difference when driving. The turning is tighter and a lot better handling in my opinion.

Yes, these wear out like no other - especially if you run upgraded suspension!
