New member, new ride!!
Hey Guys,
I am from Sunny South Africa and about 2 weeks ago I purchased a 98 C230 Kompressor Sport AMG.
Even though not actively participating on the thread and the discussions, I have been reading informaiton off here for aaaaaages already and I have to thank you all for the great site, information and sleepless friggin nights!!!
With that, here are pictures pictures of my baby... (Pictures obviously cannot come close to how awesome and s3xy this car looks...)

sup bro, nice to see a fellow south african here, well i was from there now im in new zealand. Nice ryd u got there, must have set u back a ****load of $$$ but atleast some mercs are assembled in sa so parts etc not so hard to come by. man i got me a c230 here in new zeland, the freeken parts are are half the price of the car lol. anyways just a wassup, be careful with it in sa bro. where bouts in sa u from?

Also from SA!? Wicked!! I live in Johannesburg...
All parts here in general cost a sh*t load, but in comparison to the other newer cars here, VW, Toyota it is just about the same.... The Dealerships KILL people with just about ANY car here nowadays.
The Merc did not cost much at all!! About R100k The exchange rate at the moment is R7.00 to $1.00 So that would make the car around $15k. Apparently I paid a tad over book too!
But yeah, I know what you mean about being careful... After getting the car I got a bit freaked out by the amount of attention I was getting... Both good and bad. Plus there are tons of jelous people here...
So how long ago did you leave??? Is it just you or the whole family??
