Air filter advice

I have a 2000MY C280 with 52xxxmiles. It is time to replace the stock air filter. I am considering green or K&N filter. Which one would you recommend? or any other brand over stock? I am not very knowledged about these type of filters. I read some threads about them. As far as I understood they are oil based filters and needs to be oiled preodicaly. and if not done right, it might give problems to my maf sensor. Could you give me some info on them ? and advices as well

Thanks

Next to "what wheels should I get" this has to be the most beat-up topic on this forum.I'll tell you I've used K&N in every vehicle I've ever owned and will use them in every vehicle that I will own.If you follow the directions on cleaning and re-oiling them they will outlast your car.Remember by putting them in that you are sacrificing filtration for performance.

Will this bring any harm to my vehicle in long term or short term? , if I follow the directions on the K&N?
