hi. i'm an owner of a 202 and am currently fabricating a custom cold air intake for my car. i would have to advise against any of the cheap ebay intakes. K&N is a good filter but not for our car. The MAF is extremely sensitive and it will trigger the CEL. AEM has a dryflow filter that doesnt use oil, that's what i'm using. The Secret weapon R has a good intake but it's not a cold air intake. Currently no one makes a cold air intake. It would give you a louder sound because it's sucking in a lot more air, but it's only sucking a lot more HOT air from the engine bay. It's really up to you what you want to do with it. but you would have to custom your own intake if you want better performance. What i'm doing is running the intake all the way down to the bumper right behind the foglight hole in the bumper. If you want any more information you can PM me or you can check out club202.com

That company just seems to sell whatever to who ever. I put in my car and it said I could get a cold air intake. If anyone knows the w201 chasis that would impossible. Its already set up for a "cold air" intake. It already pulls air from the outside, and it pulls it from air coming from the 2 fans.

I wouldnt buy from them. I guess K&N isnt popular for some. I love them. Green Filters arent oil based. I guess thats better. I never heard of them really. But Ive never heard of anything bad from what Ive heard.

Get a new filter. I have 36k on my K&N and it runs fine. I guess a green filter would be btter. I cant compaire ive never used the green ones. You might want to look into getting a chip for your car. There more exspensive. But they do alot more.

There are sponsers on the forum. I cant say anything for who to use. hopefully someone has a chip already and share some experice one the + - and cost. I drive a 190e without EFI so I cant chip it.

Search the forum under the w202 threads and see if anyone has already had this conversation.

A friend and former C280 owner put in a chip and Remus exhaust and ended up breaking teeth on his defferential. $5000.00 to repair. traded it in. but that was also because he added 20's inch wheels to it...bad idea. too much torch to turn those wheels.

these cars (C's) are light weight benz's. they are not designed to take all the aftermarket goodies unless you got the loot to upgrade that differential before you add all the horsepower.

good luck.

190E
Chrome Fender flairs
Purple Tint
Extra loud exhaust, the more mufflers the better.
Altezzas
Clear head lights from eBay
Big MBZ logo on the hood
Vinyls on the side of the car
Paint the air vents red
Hood scoops, they dont have to be functional. Auto Zone has them for $19.99
12" Aluminum wing
Darth Vader body kit.

All those parts installed will add like 60 to 70 wheel horsepower. Trust man.

1996 mercedes benz c220 customized
body kits

i recently purchased a 96 c220 and i'm in the steps of customizing it. i own a custom autobody and cycle shop in englewood. i've come across alot of rep dealers with some really good body kits for the c220. so contact me and maybe you'll be interested in one of these kits. some of them are still prodotypes but thats what they need is someone to help market them. you won't get it for free but the price is way low and some of the companies help with the install and paint cost for promo. if your interested email me back and i'll give you more info and my company name.i've never owned a cedes before so this is going to be an adventer for me.most of my latest where honda , beemers, toyos and mazdas. so email if ur interested

customman
