Key remote

Hello, does anyone know if replacement power door lock remotes/keys are available via MB for a 1997 C class? Mine is coming apart ( still works). Do they cut the keys at the dealership? Any thoughts on price for the remote? Thanks

Yes... go to the dealer and they will order you a new key/remote. It takes a couple days for the new key to arrive. They do not cut them at the dealer as they are laser cut.

As far as price goes, I don't have an exact range. But I remember when I picked up my 07, my dealer gave me a HUGE lecture about how important it is to not lose my backup smartkey, he said it's expensive to replace.
