1997 C280 Trans Shifting Problem

Has anyone had problems/experience with the trans shifting slow from 1st to 2nd when engine is cold. I can get up to 20 mph before it shifts and then it's not smooth. Also still looking for help on my other posting re: Hard Riding Suspension...Feels like no cushions and I just bought new Bilstien shocks and new Bridgestone Turanza's tires. Thanks

This is the normal upsift delay for cold starts. It helps to heat the catalytic converters quicker.

1993 190E 2.6
Is this also true on the 190e 2.6? My transmission holds 1st to second, on cold starts, and its alitle harder of a shift. Also, sometime if i get into second and let off to come to a stop, it wont go into 3rd, its just sits at like 2500 rpm till i come to a stop. ? Is that normal?

I know this is the wrong chasis thread, but no one on the 190e has any information on it so far.
