Newb looking for benz

Hey guys im getting ready to sell my car. Im looking to buy a C220 for around 7k. Hoping to get one with lower miles. But what I want to know is how long do these cars last. And what are common problems. I need a new daily driver and want this car to be it. Would the e class be a better route?

I have the C280 1999 and this car is great and I will replace it for an S-Class soon just because for the size and space. Now the E is a whole different car, more space than the C and better features and depends on what kind of model and year your are looking for. A C-class would be your best option for which you are looking for 7K. Always find and colletct information on the vehicle history by carfax, so you know the condition of the vehicle, and yes these vehicle do last as long you take care of them and give it its service. Also you can find additional information on www.mbusa.com you can fine plenty of pre-owned vehicles..

hope this helps and good luck

Very Slow Mercedes
c220 has a great long living engine and maintenace will be less than the 6cyls but the power deficit is terminal, for 7k you should find an early C280 6 cyl...gas mileage is not much difference with the bigger engine...good luck

I wish there were more buyers like you around my area - I've been trying to sell my car for a while and I'd be more than happy to let it go for $7000.

I recommend the C230K, some of the older body styles like the 99-00 are selling for around 10K right now. I bought one 2 years ago with 26K miles on it and so far it's an amazing car. It's an okay everyday car, premium gas and recently I've been able to get 370 miles before the gas light turns on. I don't know if this helped at all. But, I would rec. the C230K
