this is probably a topic that has been asked @ least a million times, but...

been looking 4ever and a day 2 find worthwhile upgradz 4 this little engine...all the big tunerz r sticking w/ the bigboy komprssors (V6/V8), suppose they dont have the time 2 waste on little 4bangerz when there r bigger & better places 2 go!...

is there any knowledgeable human being out there that knowz how 2 make this small powerplant unleash its full potential and eat ricerocketz 4 breakfast?

ive looked into renntech ($$$), lotta flow 4 little go...powerchip is someone else i have found...around 4 bills for about 20 horse, pretty steep also...seemz like there arent any supercharger (larger units) upgradz available...'bout the only thing i can find r a couple of "superchipz" to add maybe 20 horses!?!...doesnt seem worth the $$$ 2 me...anyone know of anything better?...what a bummer,

i know this engine is like the little train that could, but right now it needz some wheaties, 'cause it can't!!!

Kleeman (first choice if you can find one) or ASP supercharger pulley upgrade
Supersprint header
Upgraded catback exhaust
MAF relocation
Once you have all of this done, then have it chip-tuned

A number of people on the UK have been installing sprintboosters and really like them. It just makes your throttle more responsive though and doesn't add horsepower.

Don't forget the free solution - minimize the total weight of your car as possible.

Don't bother with the K&N filter. It doesn't add any real horsepower with these MBs and it has poor filtration characteristics.

pps where do u relocate the maf 2, and what chip mod brand did u go with, and do u like what u got?...
