Has anyone put these size tires on their c280? I'm getting to put 17x7 rims on my c280 and these tire are getting put on my c280. I know they'll work fine for the rear, but what about the front.. Will they cause any rubbing when I turn? Input pleaase..

I'm using 17x8 wheels with 245/40 Tires on all 4 corners and they don't rub. I had 235/45 and they rubbed a lot, due to being much taller then the stock sized tire, and my car being really low. The best tires sizes to go with to match the factory diameter is 225/45 or 245/40 in 17 inch. If you haven't lowered the car, then it shouldn't rub.

Thanks for the info

How much did you drop your benz and how did that affect the ride quality??

Well.. I'm putting the 235/45-17's this weekend.. and I haven't dropped my benz, so I'm praying it won't rub and still look good..

Thankx..

I lowered mine about 3 inches with Lorinser Springs, and smaller spring pads. I'm still using the stock sport shocks and the ride still seems to be pretty nice. Overall the Ride Quality is still very comfortable and very similiar to the stock suspension.

I'm running about 2.3 degrees of negative camber on all the wheels and added as much caster to the front as possible. The front does have a tendency to wander a little, which I believe is due to the chenge in suspension geometry and/or the weight of the wheels since they seem on the heavy side.

Since you haven't lowered your car they shouldn't rub. If they do it will be when you turn the wheel to the locks, but even then it will be very minimal.

235-45-17? my friend had a 95 c280 with amg body kit and 17x7.5 rims running dunlop sp8000 at 225-45-17. he said full lock caused some rubbing. the c36 had it's fenders flared and wheel well rolled back to accomodate 225-45-17 front and 245-40-17 rear. u should be careful.
