Fuel Gauge problem

I learned MB put out a TSB warning owners that a faulty fuel
gauge is often caused by a pinch/break in the sending unit wire at the
point where it threads under the back seat. Don't know if the TSB would
apply to your year/model.
You can clean them with a little alcohol on a q-tip and see if that resolves it.
I found a permanent fix to the sticking gauges problem. MB actually makes covers for the cluster post. It resolves the needle sticking problem but is only sold in Europe. I have some sets if interested: https://mbworld.org/forums/classifieds/226718-sticking-cluster-gauge-needles-fix.html
