Noob looking for MAF
Hi. I just got my 2000 c230 out of the shop (my cel light was on). After they changed the plugs and oil they notified me that I had a code for the mass air flow sensor. After a little research i found that the maf is easily replaced and that will save me a wad of cash. Well I would love to clean or replace the MAF... BUT I dont know where to find it. Could someone please send me pix of the location so I can solve this problem. thanks!

always buy oem from a good parts house,never ebay they are most often fakes.
autohausaz.com ships free over 50 bucks and are the real deal.
remove you engine cover and you will seee the may either on the intake tube or on some engines attached to the intake itself.
Codes p0170 and p0173 clean it first with crc brand maf cleaner to see if that resolves the issue.

you will
find the MAF between the airbox and throttle body of the engine, look for the intake hose, and follow it to the block, somewhere along the way u will find wat looks like something plugged into the hose, pull it out, clean it with CRC MAF cleaner, blow on it a bit, and let it dry for 20mins, you may get a funny smell when you start it after this. thats normal. if no luck and the car still gives u the CEL then time to buy a new one. check out ohlord's link for a new MAF
