I must say ryhi, you really make me proud to own a C280. I just bought a silver 1997 C280 model and I never thought the possibilities could turn out so amazing for this car. your different styles of wheels give me a friggin hard on. I can't make up my mind which is the best look for your car!!! I heard/read a lot of negative stuff about Brabus brand(weight issues mostly) but I like how you had them before you painted them black. the last new set of wheels you got on there is just awesome!!!!!. I am now fully convinced of the following treats I got planned for mine:
1. 18inch wheels for sure (but jury is still out on whether I want them staggered or not)
2. lowering kit (springs and shocks?)
3. clear or smoked corners/smoked taillights
and pretty much that's it. the rest of my mods will be engine performance stuff and general maintenance like flex disks, charge the A/C more,
It doesn't take much to trick these cars out and look way ****ing cool
ALL NICE PICS!!!

thanks for the compliments...I like my headlights. I think I would rather have waited for the projector style, but they are far superior to stock. The xenon bulbs I purchased off ebay, and if interested, I can give you the seller. I have been very happy with the bulbs considering they are not HIDs.

Okay, for the Past 3 years I owed this (1995 Completely facelifted C180) until I wrote it off:
So, after alot of hassle over the past 2 1/2 months after I finally have a new Mercedes!
-1999 (T-Reg) C240 'Sport' V6 offering 170Bhp
-105,000 Miles on the Clock
-Electric Folding mirrors
-Vanity mirrors + Lights
-Front puddle lights
Mods so far:
-Bootlock cover
-Euro Plates & frames
-Re-tractable cupholder
Mods Planned:
-Avantgard grill <-- A must!
-Phillips SliverVision corner bulbs
-Those front & rear C43 AMG bumpers that have been giving home to so many spiders in my shed for the past year.
-17" AMG Style I or II alloys.
Over all, the crash has been a blessing in disguise apart from now having Zero NCB

My first Mercedes-Benz
Thought I was going to buy either a BMW 328i or an Audi A4 2.8 then, but ended buying this great 6 pot Mercedes-Benz which never fails to amaze me. It handles great and is whisper quiet . And now the details:
-1997 C280 powered by a twincam Inline 6 pumping out 142 kw or 194 Bhp
-5 Speed Automatic Electronic Transmission
-Digital climate control air conditioning.
-Accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.3 seconds stock
-17 inch rims from W211 E-Class
-Auto dipping inside rear view mirrors
-Electric Folding mirrors
-142 kw twincam 24 valve Inline 6 is 3 kw less powerful than its later 2.8 liter V6 sibling, but has considerably more torque at lower revs pulling the C280 forward at 270 Nm @ 3750 rpm vs the singlecam 18 valve V6 making 265 Nm @ 4800 rpm. The V6 has to work harder! The Book as listed below mentions that.
I think thats why Mercedes-Benz has gone back to producing twincam 4 valves per cylinder engines as in the C230, C280 and C350 but in the V6 form.

Hummm hey wuzup guys.. I just got my 1998 C280 Sport 3 months ago... I love it... no problems so far... but I want to buy my lady some shoes (Wheels) without having to chop off parts of my car... whats the biggest rims a 94-00 C-Class can take?

I'm not sure about this, but according to a tech, he told me it was 19". As for the tyre width I think its 245 for the rear and maybe 225 for the front. I'm on 17"s at the moment with 215s front and rear. Do check to confirm. Hope this helps. As for the offset you need to check that out with someone else.

this is my ride
2000 C240 AMG riding on 19" brabus in a staggered finish.
also reiger rear window apron.
thinking of putting on 20" at the rear for that ultimate supercar look.
