oh and i was at the dealer the other day to get recall work done on my battery (cost me 0) and i was looking around at several cars on the lot. this one 99 or 00 c230k had a deep growl when it started up (unlike mine) but once the engine was on, it sounded exactly like mine. how come the c230k gets a roar and mine c230 doesnt?
i know mine isnt supercharged, but aside from the obvious, i'd like to know in detail why

Thats how i like my vacuum cleaners
angry! haha
Back to the topic: i have noticed the c230k has a deeper angry growl in its start. I'm pretty sure hidefdave is right, it's the kompressor.

no not the colour that botehrs me, I have seen a green one....
ok, your inlet manifold should house the Kompressor but it doesn't,
Even if your kompressor was not in that location (then it cant be kleemann) it should be near the front pulley system and the airbox should be connected to it.....
all I can see is the air is coming from your airbox straight into the inlet manifold....
no forced induction whatsoever!
where is the FPR? u forgot to include that
So it's my word with your picture against YOU....
Im not one to slate people but why say you have something when you CLEARLY don't?
prove me wrong please.

right. let me explain. here in spain it is illegal to change your engine without a permit from a certified engineer which ensures the security and integrity of your car.
so i couldnt install nos.
so i opted by using turbochargers. so i went to this scrape yard and i found a turbocharger (brand kleemann) so i chose to spend mo money to hide this kompressor. you may not be able to see it but behind that plastic cover with the K on it, there are 3 pulleys, not very good though.
believe me. the kopressor unit is under that box BESIDE the inlet manifold.
now. ok. maybe its not FULLY kleemann, sorry didnt have the full kit available, but there is is still a turbocharger which is made by kleemann there. and i have placed it where it can be most hidden.
i know this will sound very wierd.
oh what the hell. i dont care what you think man, just snap out of it . go bother someone else.

merclover .
The picture you have posted is a bone stock C 220 engine with a blue valve cover and some kind of "K", which for sure isn't a KLEEMANN "K".
KLEEMANN have never produced any turbo's, so I will question that ????.
The G3 is a compressor for the 112 V6 engines, I must say you have done a quite nice install job on your 111.
Keep fooling your self, but Koolvin is right here.

and how do you hide a turbo charger? dont u need to have like an intercooler and stuff. thats pretty hard to hide if you ask me.

laughing-my-***-off
sorry not trying to hate or anything, im just more skeptical since this topic was brought up again... doug and i were kinda skeptical too when you first mentioned it. i honestly dont know if kleeman ever made kompressors for the w202 in europe only, so i cant really speak out on that.

Co-founder of KLEEMANN,

well. i' ve been fooled by the yard vendor then.... 'cos he told me that it was a kleeman.... if ya guys are SURE that it couldnt just be the kompressor unit.....
oops then....
its a regular old kompressor...
help
co-founder of kleeman huh?? so u should know a lot about this.
this guy told me that it was a kleemann supercharger rescued from an E-class that could fit in my w-202 (so it did) and the rest i did to spice up the appearance ....

well the only way to be sure is to take more pics of your engine and post em up here. alot of us will be able to figure out what exactly it is you have
no one is implying that you are lying btw so no hard feelings. i think koolvin and lucas just wanted to point out that you indeed do not have a kleeman for the w202 on your c220
if you did all that work getting that stuff from the yard, you have... something in there best way to be totally sure with what you have is to take more pic and let us all see what exactly it is.

Unless merclover is posting the " before " picture instead of the after install picture, then it's not neccessary to waiste more time on this issue. It's a bone stock 2,2 L 111 engine with a blue valve cover, there aren't a Turbo nor SC on this picture.
Take a look earlier in this thread and see a 111K engine where the OE SC are dismounted and replaced with a Mosselmann turbo system and see how different from stock it looks, and the KLEEMANN G1 for this engine, the SC will be clearly visual.
What is it you bourght at that scrab yard ?????, everything is stock.
