C230 kompressor 1999 (W202)
shaky start: fuel filter replacement?
I have a '99 C230 Kompressor (W202), 100K on it, and as of recent I noticed a change when the car starts on cold. For a 2-3 seconds it feels like it starts on 2 cylinders, looks like it won't make it but it starts. I haven't notice any problems while driving.
I googled around and some suggested replacing the fuel filter. I would like to replace it by myself. Need to know the exact location, tools needed, etc. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

I haven't tried anything yet. You are right, it could be the sparks, too. I think if I do the scheduled 100K maintenance it should resolve the issue. Someone suggested using a lower-octane gas; I did it and I think I haven't noticed shaking since then.
Thank you for your reply.

Remove the Plastic Cover
Remove the Bolts holding the Support Braket in place
If the plate is rusted you can Buy a new one about 37$ CAD from the dealer.
Disconnect Feeds and plug them up to avoid leaking.
Insert new Filter Reconnect Feed lines Mercedes used oktik Fitings. Do not use a standard clamp. Fuel Clamps are ok but #oktik Fitings take the most pressure.

Try some of these too
Check the compression of each Cylinder Easy Job
Batter Test
Dirty Intercooler, MAF and Intake
Clogged Filter Fuel and Air
Dirty Dump Valve from Supercharger (Kompressor)
Check the OHM resitance of your spark plug wires.
Check for OBD Codes
