Unhappy Looking for best headlight kit and housing for 96 C220

Hello all,

I am having an issue with my current headlights. I had them replaced with aftermarket headlights and a hid kit added to them. since I had the body shop install them, they totally jacked them up to where I can not adjust the lights up or down because the bulbs didn’t fit and they cut a whole to make the space larger . They did all this while I was away on business, and when I returned, everything looked ok until it was night and I can’t see jack. So now, I am stuck with lights that are not aimed correctly, and all that I can use is my high beams, which I have aimed low so I can see when I drive at night.

Does anyone have a suggestion on should I go back with the stock version of the headlights and try with hids, but then the housing might melt and the bulb wont fit.

Should I buy replacement headlights? Nevertheless, from where and a pair that can stand up to hids and actually fit the bulbs.

What size bulbs should I buy to replace the ones I already have?

Can some one out there please help?
Thanks
Hassan

I have the OEM headlight of my w202 with HID kit on it. It won't melt the housing because HID produce less heat than standard bulbs. If I'm not mistaken, HID has less watts than standard bulb. Less watts means less heat generated. The only problem I had was, with my stock headlight, it won't illuminate as bright as the aftermarket. So now I change my headlight to an aftermarket projector headlight. It made my HID look really bright and at the same time, gave me a better vision at night.

What kind of aftermarket did you install?
