Please help me identify this part.

Hi

I have a 1996 C280.
Please help me identify this part. There is a leak near the firewall with green coolant leakage.

I dont know what it is, and is it hard to replace?
is there an instruction on the web somewhere ?

Your first problem is that you should not have green coolant in your car.

The plastic pipe piece goes through the partition wall. The hose is coming from the cylinder head (it carries coolant to the heater core). On the other side of the partion wall is another hose from the plastic pipe piece to the heater core. There is another hose that tees off of the plastic pipe piece that carries coolant to the windshield washer reservoir heater. That tee is located on the other side of the partition wall.

The plastic pipe piece is replaceable. I think it is part #202 832 11 15.

Are you sure the hose clamp isn't loose or that the hose isn't the problem?

To vinceC:

Thank you

I have not touch the clamp at all. and I am afraid to over tighten it and crack the pipe.

So I try to replace it myself, already got the part for $10
Is it hard to replace? is there an illustration somewhere ?

Regards
Alan
