W202 Turbo Installation
Okay guys. I know many of you might meet this idea without enthusiasm to say the least. But I know some of you would love to see it done. I've gone to numerous shops and have been called stupid, a rich kid without a clue, and a guy who should certainly buy a different car. But I refuse. And so I've decided to do it myself.
I am going to be installing a Turbocharger on my 1997 Mercedes-Benz C230.
You see, the thing is that my friend is currently doing an engine swap on his 1996 Nissan 240SX. He's putting in a Silvia engine and installing GReddy, Turbotronics and HKS parts on it. A high class Turbo'd car. I figured, if the tools are out already, why not do a real project!
But I need help on this. And as a result I will be posting a running picture of this project. What method would you go about doing this project? Does anyone know the amount of PSI the stock engine can already take? It is not a Kompressor.

Cool project. I like to put some speed on my c220 too, but the other method, which is supercharging it. But let me know how you do it cause I've been looking for some help and advise too how to speed up my car.
I know it sounds crazy to put a turbo kit in a car like ours that would probably cost more than just to get an AMG, but hey, it's something you don't see everyday.

Exactly. Plus, it increases the miles per gallon. So that definitely justifies the price. *sarcastic*.
But it's true. No one has done it, which is why I want too. Plus it won't be my only car ever, so I want to have some fun with it. I'll keep you all updated. Has anyone tried anything similar?

The other guy that I know owns a c280 with a supercharger kit. I don't think that would help cause he's running on six cylinder. the closest one you can get is JSTRAT85 car.

Wow. That is such a hot w202. I actually love the carbon fiber look. I know a guy who'll wrap my wood for me. But I want to make sure the Turbo works out okay first. Nothing more stupid than that much carbon fiber in a car that is a snail.

Yeah, he got a cool ride. I like his kit and I don't know where to get one though. It really looks nice on the car, just by the bumper you can tell the car can go fast specialy that intercooler displaying on the mesh wire.

he has one weapon of a 2.3 turbo, dont pester him if your all smoke and mirrors,
but if ur serious he may give you a few pointers.

02 W203 C32 AMG, 00 W202 AMG, 98 W202 C23K, 98 W202 3.0T, 97 W202 C23T, 93 W201 AMG
i've been thinking of turbo'ing my c230k too. it would probably be cheaper to turbo the car than boost the supercharger, cos the stuff has to be imported for the supercharger upgrade.
it would be interesting to see how it works out.
2 options..
option 1: stock piping, just remove the SC and build a turbo manifold and bolt on a t3/t4 turbo and run it on 0.7 bar boost as a daily driver.
option 2: bigger FMIC, custom piping , t61 turbo and 0.5 bar for daily driving.
option 3: twin charge, but seriously, i dont have the time or resources for such a mod.
