C220 Crank Position Sensor bolt type?
I'm attempting to remove the bolt holding the CPS to the engine. As obviously difficult to replace from above, I can access by feel the location from underneath the car on the driver side. What is the bolt type? I assume it's a Torx type (T-30 bit seems to fit), but I'm wondering if it could be a 5mm Allen? Does anyone know? Reading the CPS removal on other MB models, a thread mentioned a Torx socket E8, but I know the W202 '95 C220 I have isn't that. It needs a bit of some sort.

Thanks! I did call my stealership today to get an idea what that bolt is and according to the guy, it's a M6-14 bolt! They didn't have one in stock, wanted $2+ for one, so I got on from like Ace Hardware. He told me to check them out. Sure enough I got a M6-12 and a M6-16 because there isn't a 14mm length bolt out there that I can find. Anyways, that Torx T-30 size is the size of a 5mm Allen wrench from looking at the M6 bolt. Now I'll try to remove it if I can and keep you guys posted. Yeah, on my '95 C220, it isn't an E8 Torx socket...unfortunately!

Removed Bolt; Hard to remove sensor
Well, updating my progress here, I was able to remove the bolt!! It is a T-30 Torx bolt, unlike what the stealership told me that it's a M6 bolt. I found the metal of this bolt to be pretty mild. I pretty much ruined it with my Torx bit trying to take it off from underneath the car. Per other posting tips, I was able to access the bolt from the top using a longer extension. Now with some hope, I'm having a hard time removing the sensor! It's buried between the transmission housing and a bracket for the intake manifold I think. I don't even think I have the clearance to pull it out if I can. Any advice on past CPS replacement experiences???
