what is the tranny PILOT BUSHING?
Its purpose is to locate the pilot shaft and give it support to prevent wobbling or vibration, yet must allow the pilot shaft to spin freely from the crank when the clutch is depressed.
Most modern cars use an actual ball or roller bearing instead of the older bronze bushing.
It does not sound like they are describing a pilot bushing. A pilot bushing or bearing will not leak and won't have wires going to it.
Is this a manual-shift transmission or automatic?
