Yesterday I started hearing a buzzing sound, almost like a miniature fan, coming from the housing of my rearview mirror/interior light base. What in the world is this. I know there can't be a miniature fan in that housing. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Actually, it is a mini fan. It is a sampling fan for the air-co system. Many are starting to die these days just due to age.
