Right brake light keeps going out

Everytime I drive for a few days, the rear right brake light always stops working. I just open the compartment up, and push it around a bit and it starts working again.

Is it just getting loose? Is there a way I can keep this from happeneing? Maybe there is rust there? Anyone else have this problem?

This is a common problem to all w202. Normally the bulb socket really goes bad and tends to become loose and so as the bulb contact. You can either replace the whole socket thing which doesn't really cost much or you can have it glued properly so it won't loose.

how to fix socket

on my 94 c280 the metal socket was not properly "welded" into the plastic. The little pegs were not holding the metal in place. I squeezed the metal to the plastic and melted the little pegs down with a soldering iron...actually I think I used a screwdriver and a cigarette lighter. Works perfect now!
