Question about my 97 C230

My C230 seems to tilt or lean toward the left side. It's most exaggerated at the left front side. It is fairly obvious while examining the car on level pavement after it is brought to one's attention. I had my extremely competant mechanic check it and according to him there is no problem with struts or shocks and that it is not unusual for this car being operated primarily (98%) by one occupant to have this problem. The biggest problem is that I am a very precise personality and its driving me nuts!! I can't stand it, I can see the dash tilted down and left, I can feel it while driving? Has anyone had this problem? Or heard of it?

Before I tell you that you should post in the W202 forum let me tell you that my '02 C230 leans about 1/2" if you get a ruler. I never noticed it until I wanted to do springs and I measured the wheel wells on both sides. Surprisingly to me, putting on the Eibach lowering springs did not correct the problem so I know it's not the springs. It's just the shody workmanship that MB is rapidly becoming synonomous with. Now go post on the W202 forum!

I don't have this problem and I have never heard anyone else with this problem. Maybe wrong spring pads were installed? If not maybe you can put on thicker spring pads on one side to correct this problem.

I noticed that in my car too, I thought it is MB's design so that when the driver sit in (plus >50% fuel in the tank) the car is balanced ?! That's even after I replaced both the springs and pads.

My brother told me the same thing happened in his new W203 too.

I also had the same problem with my C220 The right front was lower than the left. Then, I put a higher spring pad on the lower side and the problem got fixed

I dont think Ive ever noticed this, but I think one time one of my friends mentioned one side is higher then the other side... all I could think of towards him was, wtf?

Could of been uneven pavement at the time though.
