Questions on C36

I am looking at getting a C36. I wanted to know what mods there are for performance and handling on this car. Also where are there any sites or places to find out more info on the car. Also are there any things in particular to look for when buying one that are problems etc..
THanks

Here is the 2 chip maker so far

H-S Elektronik

and

PowerChip

There are both has almost similar gain which going to put you well over 300 hp and over 300 lb-ft of torque

If you decide to this mod, get an intake mod as well...

The difference is there...better with combo chip + intake

Hope this helps

Regardz,

Well I used to own a 1995 C36. It was a really nice car and I had a lot of fun. Fastest quarter mile time was 13.92 @ 107.8 mph. 0-60 was 5.4 sec. All mods i did was cold air intake, test pipe for track use, and dual exhaust (basically a Y pipe and no muffler on my right side for max flow). I sold this car because if anything goes wrong you will have a long wait for parts. You need to get it from Germany and it takes way too long. The downtime is annoying and I hope you have another car or its covered under warranty. Most down time resulted in about 1 month without my car which happened once in a while. This conviced me to get rid of my car when my extended warranty ran out.

Also lowering the car makes a difference. Mine was lowered on H&R springs and Bilstien short shocks. I currently have a 1999 C43 AMG and the only problem I had was something blew up in the torque converter making my transmission lock up. Thank goodness for extended warranty. The C43 was timed at 13.70 @ 108.9 mph consistenly. All Stock.
