Dead Keyless Entry
Hey,
Long time no post. Anyway, my keyless entry on my 1996 C220 just stopped working the other day. Never had a problem with it before, and the key battery seems fine (the little red light illuminates). Any ideas? By the way, I did drop my key into some really nasty brown snow (and salt) the day before, but like I said, the little red light still goes on.
I just had the PSE pump replaced, which eliminated a faint intermittent droning noise coming from the rear of my car. Apparently, the dealer also replaced the door lock pump (?) according the the service statement. The service was precautionary, since I never had a problem even when there was a noise, I just didn't want it dying on me at some point.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Mine stopped working on my '96 C220, then I was messing around with some sort of computer/control box in the trunk, right side, other side of the frame from the battery.. whatever I dorked around with there fixed it.. or it could have fixed it's SELF at the same time I was dorking around.. who knows...
