a w202 problem

i would like to thank all members and administrator to my lovely web site www.MBWORLD.org

I imported an Amarecan C280 model 1996 from USA , this car now in with me in Saudi Arabia

because this car will be in new area and defferent weathers i made full check and replacment for (eng. oil and filter , gear oil and filter fuel pumb, AC fereon , thermostat , OEM Redaitor water , sparks plug etc...)
my problem was before doing these replacment and after the replacment too.

the Issue is :-
1) hard to start the ignation on (need to push the fuel pedal - i mean non one toutch starting like my old w140 or w210 or w124 CE or w202 c200 )

2) after turn the ignaion on (the car on P- parking) , then after one minute i turn the AC on , the RPM's playing between (500 to 1200) (up down up down etc...) , this RPM's fluctuate up and down will stop only if:

a) stop AC
or
b) the external 2 fans being work

suppose now going to street , the problem did not appear , until the ignation off , then the car will be cold , then start again, the issue will be repeated again

-- another issue
the AC air pushing , depens on RPM , i mean if the car on (P) a few air come from nozzle , if i drove in a straight street the air pushing too good and normal , but if i faced Mount or high rise the AC air pushing will be reduced until being in straight road-street

>>>>> i fnished ..... thank you too much , hope to find a solution ....
thanks again

this is my Amarecan Car >>>>>>> i liked the US specification rather than Japanese or Germany or Gulf spcefication

Dude, it's eerie but are cars look the same and acting the same way. I am waiting for other replies. Except for the hard starting. Must be a yankee attitude.

I think for your problem to be addressed on the number 1 will be to change your fuel pressure regulator. I had the same problem with the hard start that you have to press the gas pedal before it would actually start.

After changing the pressure fuel regulator, it work perfectly. Hope that helps.

And for the second problem I think you have to check freon pressure first...

For the hard starting id first check the spark plugs for the right gap
