ad the coil pack which controls cylinders 1 and 6 replaced. My car will actually run now, but the rpm's still drop to around 600rpm when I shift into reverse or drive, and I still have a slight misfire... I disconnected the MAF sensor and the car seems to run a little better, but not perfect...
You might want to try running through some good injector cleaner like Techron or SeaFoam and see if this helps a little. Running a fuel cleaner once before every oil change is good preventive maintenance.

By inconsistent rpms I mean at idle.. When the engine first starts from an overnight.. Once the engine warms up it will stay consistent. I used to get the limp mode sometimes during normal operation not anymore.. Ever since replacing the MAF and the overvoltage module the limp mode problem is infrequent. The rpms remain good once it warms up and does not present a problem when in gear or the AC is on..

HEY PEOPLE IM NEW TO THIS GREAT SITE AND I JUST HAD A COUPLE QUESTIONS , I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE WOULD HAPPEN TO KNOW THE MODEL DESIGNATION OR THE ENGINE CODE NAME OF THE 4.3 LITER V8 FOUND IN MY CAR IT IS A 2002 S 430 ALSO DOES ANYONE HAVE A PICTURE OF THE THE TIMING CHAIN, AND HOW IT IS ROUTED,AS WELL AS THE TENSIONERS I THINK THEY ARE GOING BAD AS THE ENGINE MAKES A LOVELY CLATTER THAT SOUNDS KINDA LIKE A DIESEL. IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE THE HELP.
