A lot of 202's have check engine lights, I highly doubt it is from different gas stations, what codes are you throwing? Are you certain the motor is bad?, a lot of the time the linkage just needs to be regreased

yeah, unfortunately it wasnt the linkage i tried greasing it and still didnt work so brought it in and they said the gear is worn all the way down so i bought a new motor and want to put it in myself to save money and took everything apart all the way to the fire wall and dont see the motor at all. If anyone has a link or know how to change it, would be great if you can tell me me, better if there is diagrams if not that'll be ok still thanks. And about the codes dont know yet will fight out tomorrow what they are when i bring it in.

Go to autozone and get the codes read for free. Links to MB code lists have been posted here before, so just do a search.

This about doing the cheesy DTM modification but since it involves lots of disassembly, it will help you with your needs too:

Mercedes C180 (1998)
the link XVVVZ posted is the same one i used to remove the wiper motor (my wiper froze to the screen when i was parked up in a bad snow storm and when i switched it on the linkage slipped.. meaning that it would always come to a rest in the middle of the screen), its quite an effort removing the 3 air vents, lots of screws and clips to worry about. Takes time but once that is done, removing/replacing the wiper motor is pretty simple.
