Hissing sound

Hissing sound
Just today, I noticed that my car is making a hissing sound coming from underneath the car. It only makes the noise when I put my car on reverse and hold on to the brakes. It comes out maybe after 5 seconds and quite noticeable, like a air leak out of a hose.
I tried doing it on drive but it doesn't make the sound which is weird.
Any idea what it might be? It's from under the car, I check the hood, doesn't seem like it's coming from there. Thanks.

You have an older style transmission that relies of vacuum lines for some of its functions. I wonder if there is a problem with one of the components in the vacuum system. At a minimum, you could locate all of the external vacumm tubes running to the tranny and check them.

It does actually makes sense since you mentioned the vacuum thing, the shop where I usually bring my car for maintenance (indie Benz specialist) told me that a part somewhere underneath the transmission might have a problem. He said that he see's a residue on the vacuum lines..
If I'm not mistaken he said the part is called transmission regulator or something regulator that's connected on the vacuum line. I told him not to replace it yet cause I haven't had any problems with my transmission or experience a problem until last week.
Any idea what this thing do and how much it runs? Thanks.
