C280 turn signals and wiper failure
Hi
My wipers, turn signals, and horn quit. I've checked fuses, tapped the relays behind the fuses, and cleaned and replugged in the relays.
My headlights work and the high low on stalk work fine.
Any help is appreciated.

I just removed this from under passenger side box, opened it up and the solder joints where all fine.I cleaned the pins with contact cleaner as well, but still have the problems.
Thanks though for suggestion.

I had a C220 wiper issue that turned out to be the signal arm. I'd say try that but the horn thing throws it off. Do you know the horn went at the same time? Maybe 2 separate issues? Checked that big block relay fuse?

Hi
Yes I checked the 40 amp fuse on top of the K40 relay uin the pass side box. Not trusting the card,,,I pulled every fuse under the hood and in the trunk looking.
I've read the stalk,or signal arm as you call it can go bad...and one fellow described how he took the top apart and cleaned wiper contacts successfully...but I'm at a loss why my hi/low beem works if the stalk went bad?

Could be some crossed wires in the stalk. Thats what they said was with mine. A deer hit me prior to getting into doing it. Careful of the airbag when pulling off the wheel to get to it. From what I am told its an easy swap. I was able to get a used arm at Potomac German Auto for like $50-ish. They seem to get higher prices but will have the part when you need it. Maybe try local yards first- that is unless you want to get a new part to try. The horn thing gets me...then again the horn is in the same area wire wise up front. Just my 2 cents.
