1999 C230 Kompressor Will not start and stalls
My last post on the saga of the 1999 C230 Kompressor was over a year ago and all ended well..... at least until last Friday. I had an issue with my maf and I cleaned it and it was all good. I no longer get any sort of a MAF code. What I now have is a P0450 Code which I didn't think was a big deal.
Then all of the sudden on Friday morning the car wouldn't start, 4 -5 tries later and I got it started. Ok, I think this could be any number of issues. Bad gas, dirty throttle, dirty idle speed air valve who knows? Then, the while driving the same day, the BAS light came on. Ok I figure the brakes need to be checked but that has nothing to do with anything and shouldn't affect anything else right? Ok so this morning I get in the car, it starts right up and within 5 minutes the car dies in traffic with no warning!! The car locked up solid! I couldn't even turn off the road. I hit the hazards and prayed someone wouldn't smash me in the rear. It took 4-5 tries to get it started but I got it going and made it to work safe and sound. WTF is going on here I am thinking?
So at first I thought these were unrelated issues, but now after reading some of the threads I am starting to think they are related. My uneducated guess is that the K25 (or is it K26?) ABS relay is going and or gone, and/or the K12 ignition brake relay is shot too. Other thoughts are that the ESP module has gone bad. Last on the short list is that I may have a bad ABS sensor somewhere, somehow I doubt it. Anyone care to guess?
