98 C230 is going crazy
I am having a big time issue with the car. For no apparent reason the windows on the car magically go down on their own. The other night I locked the car as I normally do but the next morning when I came out the windows were down. All 4 of them. Also the alarm on the car keeps going off at random. Sometimes it is fine and other times will sound off a few minutes after alarming the car. Anyone else had this issue or something similar? I have also noticed that the interior central locking button is always red. Even when the car is locked it is lit up solid red. Any help or input would be appreciated. Thanks

Hmm, that does sound strange. I start by checking the fuses and removing one by one to see if there's some kind of electrical short. You need to isolate the problem and then diagnose from there.

dude,
try to have it serviced first. i had the similar problem prior and i tried to fix it.
first, i opened the module and checked the electric motor and found out that i had a busted motor. i had it rewound cost about $10.00 in my local electrical shop.
second, i re-soldered all the electronic components on the PCB module and voila! works perfectly.
just be careful where you detached what wire from and when re-attaching it again, it may cause some confusion when you install it back again in the system.
