Get a c36 or c43 the c280 is a family car not dissing it but its not a hotrod by any means

Please describe exactly.. Economy / Standart knob is not responsible for that problem.
Does your kickdown not work ? In econ mode it wont work fine only with full pull down.. in standard it works faster and better.. normaly

97 c280, 01 ml320, 04 r32
check the vacuum distribution block in the right rear of the engine compartment. should be next to the engine ecu.the block may leak on be cracked.

Do you mean it wont change down, or, wont kickdown (using throttle pedal)?
