99 C230 sport radio issue
I just bought a 99 C230 Kompressor sport model and i have found that i get horrible am/fm reception. i was wondering if it might be an antenna issue seeing as how everything else about the radio works fine with the exception of 1 tweeter. the car does not have any form of external antenna and i was just wondering where the antenna/signal amplifier is located. i keep seeing replacement rubber boots for the antenna in the back center of the roof for 99 models but mine does not have that.
also, i was considering an after market head unit and i was wondering what special feature it had to have to work with the mercedes cd changer already in the car.

The roof mount is for cell and GPS but only came on the 2000 year.
The hookup to the trunk CD player is optical. Just forget it and buy a good indash unit with a built-in CD player.
